Spaghetti & Meatballs

Ingredients:

  • 2 lbs ground beef

  • 1 small onion

  • 1 tbsp of minced garlic

  • ¼ cup of parmesan cheese

  • 1 egg

  • ⅓  cup milk

  • ⅓ cup breadcrumbs

  • 2 tbsp italian seasoning

  • 1 tbsp salt

  • 1 tbsp black pepper

  • 1 tbsp chili flake

  • 1 tbsp parsley

Directions:

  1. Directions:

  2. Prep Ingredients: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.

  3. Mix the Meatball Mixture:

  4. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, onion, Parmesan cheese, egg, milk, breadcrumbs, Italian seasoning, salt, black pepper, chili flakes, and parsley.

  5. Mix gently with your hands until just combined. Overmixing can lead to dense meatballs.

  6. Shape Meatballs:

  7. Form the mixture into evenly-sized balls, about the size of a golf ball (roughly 1.5 inches in diameter). Place them on the prepared baking sheet about 2 inches apart.

  8. Bake the Meatballs:

  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until browned and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 160°F for beef).

  10. Simmer in Marinara Sauce:

  11. While the meatballs bake, warm marinara sauce in a large stockpot over medium heat.

  12. Transfer the baked meatballs into the simmering sauce and cook for another 10-15 minutes to let the flavors meld.

  13. Serve:

  14. Serve the meatballs over pasta, on sub rolls, or with a side of crusty bread. Garnish with extra Parmesan cheese and chopped parsley if desired.

Enjoy!
