Chinese Cumin Lamb-chops
Chinese Cumin Lamb-chops
This recipe is great since the cumin minimizes the gamey flavor that is off putting for some people.
Ingredients
Produce/Meat:
1 1/2 lbs lamb-chops (8-10 pieces)
onions
red bell peppers (cut into inch chunks)
green bell peppers (cut into inch chunks)
dried whole red chillies
sliced garlic (5 cloves)
Lamb Marinade:
2 tsp soy sauce
2 tbsp grated ginger
2 tbsp grated garlic
1/2 tsp black pepper
2 tsp cumin
salt to taste
5 tbsp corn starch
1 egg
Sauce:
3 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp oyster sauce
1 tsp sugar
1 tsp vinegar
1tbsp cumin powder (add more for stronger cumin flavor)
Assembly:
Mix all of the lamb marinade ingredients together and marinate in the fridge for 2-4 hours.
After marinating, fry up the lamb-chops in shallow cooking oil (vegetable oil is fine) until they are done and crispy golden brown.
Mix together the sauce that will be poured later on.
Next, heat up some oil on medium heat and drop the cut up red chillies into the hot oil and stir fry for a minute. Then add the sliced garlic.
Add all the other veggies in and stir fry till tender. Salt to taste
Add the sauce to the veggies and stir fry.
Finally add the lamb-chops and mix well.
Plate up and garnish with parsley, cilantro, or coriander leaves.
Enjoy!
