One Pan Creamy Pasta with Mussels
Makes 4 servings
Ingredients:
1 package of pre cooked frozen mussels
spaghetti noodles (however much you want)
1 jar of Alfredo sauce
garlic
butter or vegetable oil
parsley (dried or fresh)
salt and pepper to taste
Directions:
Prepare mussels by soaking them in some water for 15-20 minutes. Then wash and pat until completely dry. Set aside on some paper towels.
Cook spaghetti noodles according to instructions. Rinse with cold water after they are done.
Fry garlic in some oil until fragrant.
Pour alfredo sauce into the oil and garlic. Simmer on medium heat until heated through.
Sprinkle in parsley.
On another burner, heat up a skillet with some oil. Wait until it has heated to a very hot temp. Place mussels in a pan and cook for 5 minutes until warmed through and covered in sauce. on the Then set aside on a separate plate.
Mix the alfredo sauce together with spaghetti.
Plate by placing pasta first, topping mussels. Then sprinkle parsley to garnish.
Note: Frozen seafood in general have added sodium content so it is quite salty already. Soaking in water helps wash some of it off. Please be mindful when seasoning dishes containing them.
